When asked about a team that he would like to join, Jones stated his preference "to win" and cited that he "ain't going to Dallas" and that he "never thought" about that possibility, either.
With this breaking news on live television, it certainly opens up the books for a Jones trade this offseason, especially with Atlanta's rumored interest in moving him as well.
Ian Rapaport clarified that Jones had requested a trade from Atlanta months ago, beginning this saga, and that's when Atlanta began to listen to offers.
Jones' familiarity with head coach Kyle Shanahan could make the San Francisco 49ers a potential destination, as that would fulfill his desire to be on a winning team. Still, New England, Baltimore, and other contenders will definitely be in play for the star receiver.
Atlanta had been asking for a first-round pick in return for the star receiver, but other teams around the league don't believe another team will match that price, especially with Jones' large contract and injury issues.
