Former Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall worked out for the San Francisco 49ers, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 49ers started organized team activities this week, and one of their practices is today. Marshall has not appeared in a regular-season game since 2018.

The Jacksonville Jaguars made Marshall a fifth-round selection out of Nevada in 2012. He registered 42 tackles and a pass defensed through 11 games with the Broncos in 2018. He recorded three seasons of over 100 tackles over the previous four seasons.

Marshall, 31, signed a one-year deal with the then-Oakland Raiders in 2019 but was released before the start of the season. He caught back on with the team for six days in the middle of that season before being released again.

Marshall has recorded 418 tackles, 28 tackles for a loss, nine quarterback hits, 6.5 sacks, 21 passes defensed, two interceptions, and four forced fumbles through his seven NFL seasons with at least one game appearance (2012-18).
