San Francisco 49ers president Al Guido joined 95.7 The Game this morning and was asked about the possibility of the team unveiling red home versions of the throwback uniforms players have been wearing in recent seasons.

"The best I can say right now is we've got a lot coming for the 75th anniversary," Guido responded, hinting that the fan-favorite uniforms might be part of the plans. You could imagine him smiling through the radio interview.

Guido believes the 49ers will hold the annual State of the Franchise event on June 30, and like last year, it will be presented virtually.

"We've got a number of updates on a lot of what our fans have been asking for," Guido added. "... We've been doing our best to listen to the fans and bringing back that nostalgia into the building, and we've got a ton of things coming for the 75th anniversary."

In March, photos leaked of what looks to be an officially licensed Nick Bosa red 49ers throwback jersey, so a uniform announcement has been anticipated.

The team still has to formally induct Bryant Young into the team's Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. 49ers Hall of Fame. He was last year's inductee but could not be honored in front of fans due to the pandemic. The 49ers will also add another player this year.

Guido was asked if that player might be Patrick Willis.

"You know, we'll see," Guido responded, again, almost laughing.

Added Guido: "All I can say is tune into the State of the Franchise. I think the fans are going to get what they want."
