Video of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance throwing to his teammate, veteran wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, surfaced yesterday. The quarterback isn't taking a break, it seems. More footage of the rookie getting in some much-needed reps has been released. The latest comes from wide receiver specialist Stephon Brown of Top Shelf Performance (h/t to @Thesfniners_ for the find).


You can see Lance throwing to former Duke wide receiver T.J. Rahming and Gardner-Webb wideout Justin Franklin in the video.

Below are the videos from yesterday that showed Lance tossing passes to Sanu.


The 49ers ended their offseason program last week. Players report to training camp on July 27 and hit the practice field four days later. Until then, it is up to each of them to train on their own.


One teammate was impressed with what Lance showed during his few weeks participating in San Francisco's offseason program.

"I think Trey, he has all the attributes to be a very good, very special quarterback," tight end George Kittle said this week. "He's a freak athlete. I think, really, one of my favorite things about him right now, just as a rookie, is that he takes risks. He doesn't complete all the passes that he throws, but he's trying to fit into those small windows, and he's just trying to throw it as hard as he can to get it to that wide receiver, going for him in that second window."
