This update on the ball-handing issues between center Alex Mack and his quarterbacks popped up on fans' Twitter timelines.

It has led many to wonder exactly what is going on there. Is this a new issue for the six-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman, or was it already known about the veteran?

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters after practice and was asked about the issues with the exchanges between center and quarterback. His response didn't disappoint.

Has the sweat problem always been a problem for Mack?

"Yes," Shanahan answered. "He works hard out there and has a little bit of a sweating issue. We need like a beach towel, so the quarterbacks are working through that."

Shanahan said the issue was there when the two of them were together in Atlanta. The head coach was the Falcons' offensive coordinator at the time.

"Honestly, it happens with almost all centers," Shanahan shared. "Maybe Mack a little worse than others. Matt Ryan used to make him change his pants like every period. It doesn't stay dry too long. It's part of football."
