ESPN's Field Yates revealed the details of linebacker Mychal Kendricks' one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network first reported news of his signing on Saturday night, and the 49ers officially announced the signing on Monday.

Kendricks is set to earn $1.215 million, including a $200,000 bonus. However, he will only count $866,176 against the salary cap as part of the "veteran salary benefit" (formerly known as the "minimum salary benefit"). It allows a team to offer a qualifying contract to a veteran player while absorbing a reduced salary cap hit.
