The San Francisco 49ers have reportedly released tackle Shon Coleman off of injured reserve with an injury settlement. The offensive lineman landed on injured reserve on August 31 due to a triceps strain sustained in the team's preseason finale against the Las Vegas Raiders.

San Francisco traded for Coleman on August 31, 2018, sending a seventh-round draft pick to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for the offensive lineman. He never played in a regular-season game for the 49ers. Coleman landed on injured reserve in 2019 and opted out of last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
