It looks like Deommodore Lenoir will be counted on by the San Francisco 49ers right out of the gate. The rookie cornerback is warming up with the first-team defense ahead of this morning's regular-season opener against the Detroit Lions. That is a good indication that Lenoir will be the starter opposite Jason Verrett when the defense takes the field.

Also inactive is recently-signed veteran cornerback Josh Norman. San Francisco activated Dontae Johnson from the practice squad on Saturday.

The 49ers are without starter Emmanuel Moseley, who is among the team's Week 1 inactives due to a knee injury. Another defensive starter, Javon Kinlaw, is also inactive and dealing with a knee injury. ESPN's Nick Wagoner noticed Kentvaius Street getting work at defensive tackle next to D.J. Jones during warmups, indicating that Street could see a good amount of playing time against the Lions at Ford Field.

A surprising addition to the list of inactives was rookie running back Trey Sermon. The Athletic reports that it is a healthy scratch and not COVID-related.
