Below are the 49ers-Eagles in-game injury updates.
DT Kevin Givens
Kevin Givens went down in the first quarter. Trainers tended to him and the defensive lineman later walked slowly off the field. The 49ers announced that Givens is "questionable" to return after sustaining an ankle injury.
RB Elijah Mitchell
The 49ers announced in the fourth quarter that Elijah Mitchell is dealing with a shoulder injury and is "questionable" to return. Trainers were seen working on his shoulder as Mitchell sat on the sideline.
UPDATE: Mitchell was able to return to the game following an injury to Trey Sermon.
RB Trey Sermon
Rookie Trey Sermon suffered an injury on his first career NFL carry, which resulted in a fumble. However, there was a helmet-to-helmet penalty on the play and the 49ers retained possession of the football. Sermon was able to walk slowly off the field. He is being evaluated for a head injury. Trenton Cannon replaced Sermon on the next play.
RB JaMycal Hasty
The FOX broadcast announced that JaMycal Hasty was being examined for an ankle injury. That explains why Cannon, not Hasty, immediately replaced Sermon after the rookie's injury. The 49ers later announced that Hasty is "questionable" to return.
FB Kyle Juszczyk
Kyle Juszczyk was slow to get up late in the fourth quarter as the 49ers were protecting a 17-11 lead. It did not look serious, though. Juszczyk had no problem walking off the field.
Update: After the game, head coach Kyle Shanahan said Juszczyk was dealing with a cramp.
WR Deebo Samuel
Head coach Kyle Shanahan said after the game that Deebo Samuel exited late in the game due to a cramp.
