San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Kevin Givens suffered a high-ankle sprain during Sunday's win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He's getting an MRI today to determine the severity of the injury, per Matt Barrows of The Athletic.

Givens sustained the injury in the first quarter. Trainers tended to the third-year defensive lineman before he walked off the field slowly.

San Francisco signed Givens (6-1, 285) as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State in 2019. The 24-year-old defender has recorded 21 tackles, a sack, and a pass defensed in 16 game appearances (one start) through his three NFL seasons.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan will provide injury updates when he speaks with reporters via a conference call today at 1 p.m. PT.
