Wishnowsky has 11 punts for 515 yards through three games this season. He averaged 46.8 yards on those punts (43.4 net), with a league-high eight being placed inside the 20-yard line.
This is the first Special Teams Player of the Month for Wishnowsky and he becomes the first 49ers punter to earn the honor. He also becomes the first former Utah player to win Special Teams Player of the Month.
Wishnowsky is in his third NFL season. San Francisco made him a fourth-round draft pick in 2019.
