Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo emerged from the game with a 141.7 passer rating, the second-highest of his career (145.8 vs. Packers in 2019). His 82.1 overall Pro Football Focus grade is a season-high and his highest mark since Week 2 in 2020.

Trent Williams is the highest-graded offensive lineman this season. His impressive 97.8 overall grade is a career-high. The tackle has been graded at 81.8 or higher in all but one game this season. Williams has recorded the highest offensive grade for the 49ers six times in 2021.

For the second consecutive week, tight end George Kittle earned the team's second-highest overall grade. He also scored a touchdown for the second successive game while adding 50 receiving yards on five catches. In addition, the All-Pro registered a touchdown reception in consecutive weeks for the first time in his career.


For the first time in his career, wide receiver Deebo Samuel recorded a receiving touchdown and rushing touchdown in the same game. His 979 receiving yards rank second in the NFL, with only Cooper Kupp of the Rams (1,141 yards) ahead of him.

The 49ers' safety duo of Talanoa Hufanga and Jimmie Ward proved effective against the Rams. The latter came away with two interceptions, one of which was a pick-six. Ward's interceptions were the third and fourth of his career, and first since December 11, 2016. In addition, his 76.3 overall grade was a season-high.

Rookie Hufanga led the defense with a 77.7 overall grade — a career-high.

Tom Compton replaced rookie Jaylon Moore, who exited the game with a knee injury and did not return. Compton was among the team's lowest-graded players. On defense, cornerback Josh Norman also scored low marks. He is playing through a rib injury.
