2nd Quarter

TOUCHDOWN ALERT: Jimmy Garoppolo finds Jauan Jennings in the corner of the endzone to tie the game at 14-14 with 18 seconds remaining in the half.

After a missed easy throw to Elijah Mitchell, Jimmy Garoppolo delivers on 3rd & long with a beautiful pass over the middle to Brandon Aiyuk to set up 1st & Goal, before catching Minnesota offsides to stop the clock.

The 49ers defense does their job, as the Nick Bosa sack kills the Minnesota drive, forcing a Vikings punt and giving the 49ers a chance to tie this game.

SACK ALERT: Nick Bosa notches his 11th sack of the season, quickly evading left tackle Christian Darrisaw and getting to Kirk Cousins for San Francisco's first sack of the game.

Following the touchdown drive by Minnesota, San Francisco can't get anything working in the passing game still, as Jimmy Garoppolo fails to connect with George Kittle on 3rd & 3, forcing another punt, giving the Vikings the ball up 7 with the chance to add to that lead.

TOUCHDOWN ALERT: Kirk Cousins finds Adam Thielen again, as the veteran receiver is left wide open by the San Francisco secondary for a 20-yard touchdown, giving the Vikings a 14-7 lead.

1st Quarter

After forcing the punt, San Francisco can't gain any offensive traction, as Jimmy Garoppolo is sacked on 3rd down, causing the 49ers to punt themselves.

On 3rd & short, Charles Omenihu makes perhaps the best play of his short 49ers career, wrapping up Dalvin Cook to force a punt.

TOUCHDOWN ALERT: After a few successful Elijah Mitchell runs, Deebo Samuel finds the outside for a 20-yard touchdown run, getting the 49ers back into this game.

3rd & 10+ provides a different result this time for the 49ers, as Jimmy Garoppolo finds Brandon Aiyuk for a 37-yard gain and a first down.

TOUCHDOWN ALERT: On 4th & Goal, Cousins finds Thielen again, this time for a touchdown, giving the Vikings a 7-0 lead early in San Francisco.

On the ensuing drive, Kirk Cousins finds Adam Thielen wide open on a flea-flicker pass for a 29-yard throw to the SF 6, setting up 1st & Goal.

TURNOVER ALERT: On 3rd & 12, Jimmy Garoppolo tries to hit Deebo Samuel over the middle, but Harrison Smith reads the throw and intercepts the pass, giving the Vikings good field position on their second drive.

On 3rd & 5, Jimmy Garoppolo fires a dart to Jauan Jennings in a tight window for a 21-yard pickup and a new set of downs, as the 49ers move the ball downfield.

The 49ers force a 3 & out on Minnesota's first offensive drive, following two Kirk Cousins incompletions in the direction of Justin Jefferson. The 49ers take over early in the 1st quarter.

Pregame

The Minnesota Vikings will be without their entire starting defensive line: DE Danielle Hunter, DT Dalvin Tomlinson, DT Michael Pierce, and DE Everson Griffen, with the latter being placed on the Non-football Injury List earlier this week.

There is also another change from last week for the 49ers: OL Tom Compton is expected to start over rookie Jaylon Moore at right tackle after Moore started last week against Jacksonville.

A notable name not on this list: RB Elijah Mitchell, who suffered a broken finger two weeks ago against the Rams and missed last week's contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is expected to start Sunday against the Vikings in a crucial game with major playoff implications.

The 49ers have listed their inactives for the game: RB JaMycal Hasty, OL Colton McKivitz, DT Maurice Hurst, and DE Jordan Willis.

The Vikings have listed their inactives for the game: QB Kellen Mond, WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette, CB Harrison Hand, LB Chazz Surratt, S Camryn Bynum, and G Wyatt Davis.
