Quick Takeaways
We'll start at quarterback. Jimmy Garoppolo's play was on par with his performance in Week 11. It was a solid game, but his 69.2 overall Pro Football Focus grade doesn't compare to those garnered in Weeks 8 through 10 when he earned grades of 79.6 or better in each game.
Fred Warner earned the lowest grade among his teammates and his lowest grade since Week 7 of 2018 (29.9). The linebacker played just 33 snaps before exiting the game with a hamstring injury.
Kevin Givens earned the 49ers' highest overall grade and the second-highest game grade (Vikings LG Ezra Cleveland - 93.6). The defensive tackle's grade was also a career-high.
Once again, Trent Williams was among the team's highest-graded players. His 98.2 overall grade for the season is the best in the NFL and on pace to be Pro Football Focus' highest-ever single-season grade for an individual player. Williams has been graded 77.1 or higher in every game this season and has surpassed the 90 mark three times this year.
Tom Compton handled the duties at right tackle, filling in for an injured Mike McGlinchey. Rookie Jaylon Moore, who played 45 snaps a week earlier, did not play against the Vikings.
Fullback Kyle Juszczyk had his best game of the season in Pro Football Focus' eyes. He earned his highest overall grade since Week 13 of the 2020 season (83.3).
The 49ers' potent rushing attack gained 208 yards, a season-high, and three touchdowns on the ground. The run game was led by rookie running back Elijah Mitchell, who led the team with 133 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown on 27 carries despite still recovering from a finger fracture and rib injury.
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel continued to show off his versatility with 66 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on six carries. He became the first NFL receiver with at least one rushing touchdown in three consecutive games in a single season since the merger in 1970.
Mitchell earned an overall grade of 70.5, while Samuel earned an overall grade of 65.4.
