"I think everybody can see, when we have our guys on the field, when we're healthy, I think we pass the eye test," Williams said. "We've got the defense. We have the running game. We have the skill players. I think we have it all.
"I think we were heating up right at the right moment. We kind of had a blunder in Seattle. That's something we've got to bounce back from. But I definitely think that we're on the right pace to kind of shock some people."
San Francisco won three straight and four of five before Sunday's misstep in Seattle. Dominating in the trenches and a strong rushing attack contributed to the winning streak.
"Having a guy like Deebo [Samuel], having guys like Elijah Mitchell, JaMycal Hasty, even Jeff Wilson, Trey [Sermon]—a lot of those guys are banged up, but when they're on the field, we can kind of impose our will, which is what we like to do; run the ball as many times as possible.
"I think we're definitely a hard team to beat, especially with a guy like Deebo, who is just a jack of all trades. He can do it all. You can line him up in the I [formation], you can slide him over at wideout by himself. He can do it all. So, we're definitely lucky to have players like that, paired along with—need I mention George Kittle, what he does in the running game and the passing game.
"So, having guys like that who are selfless, who play hard for others, and do their job for others to be successful, I think that's what makes me feel like we have what it takes."
Williams adds that the message from his head coach, Kyle Shanahan, is to take one week at a time and fight. That begins this weekend with a trip to Paul Brown Stadium to play the Cincinnati Bengals.
