Quick Takeaways
Right tackle Tom Compton was the 49ers' highest-graded player for the first time this season. In fact, his 95.9 overall grade was a career-high for the veteran offensive lineman.
Sunday was tight end George Kittle's third consecutive game with a grade of 91.0-or-higher, and his fourth game of the season at least reaching that mark. No NFL tight end has been playing better football this season than Kittle, per Pro Football Focus. His 92.3 overall grade leads all tight ends and is the second-best single-season grade of his career.
Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo earned a season-high grade of 88.0. It's his best mark since Week 2 of the 2020 season. Garoppolo completed 18 of 23 passing attempts for 235 yards, a touchdown, and a passer rating of 123.7 against the Falcons, surpassing 3,000 passing yards on the season.
Defensive end Nick Bosa continues terrorizing opposing quarterbacks. His sack of Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was his 15th of the season. Bosa is now just 4.5 sacks away from matching the 49ers franchise record of 19.5 sacks in a single season set by Aldon Smith in 2012. Sunday was Bosa's second consecutive game with a 91.0 overall Pro Football Focus grade. Both are season-highs, and Sunday's mark led all edge rushers in Week 15.
Cornerback K'Waun Williams also recorded a season-high overall grade. His 82.1 coverage grade was his highest since Week 16 of the 2019 season.
Linebacker Fred Warner's 90.4 run-defense grade was a career-high and his 82.8 tackling and 78.2 pass-rushing grades were his highest of the season.
