4th Quarter
SCORE ALERT: Following San Francisco's touchdown drive, Ryan Tannehill is able to bring Titans down the field to set up a game-winning Randy Bullock that wins Tennessee the game 20-17.
SCORE ALERT: Late in the 4th quarter, after a number of mistakes, Jimmy Garoppolo, or his alter-ego in these situtations Tom Brady, completes a touchdown pass to Brandon Aiyuk to tie this game up.
3rd Quarter
SCORE ALERT: AJ Brown continues his dominant ten-catch, 127-yard performance with a touchdown on Josh Norman to give the Titans a 17-10 lead.
SCORE ALERT: Tennessee makes San Francisco pay, following the turnover, by way of a D'Onta Foreman touchdown run, giving Tennessee all the momentum and a 10-10 tie.
TURNOVER ALERT: Jimmy Garoppolo throws his second interception of the game, single-handedly keeping the Titans in this ballgame.
SCORE ALERT: After a couple of nice 3rd & long conversions by Ryan Tannehill, San Francisco breaks up a screen play and forces a 38-yard field goal from Randy Bullock. 49ers lead 10-3.
2nd Quarter
After two very-risky plays from Jimmy Garoppolo, including the 1st down near-interception and third down sack, the 49ers are forced to punt again, and Mitch Wishnowsky has just a 15-yard punt. The 49ers continue to shoot themselves in the foot.
Following what looked like a semi-promising Titans drive, Jimmie Ward breaks up a pass in the direction of A.J. Brown, forcing another Tennessee timeout.
SCORE ALERT: After the defensive stop, the 49ers march down the field, but a controversial Trent Williams facemask causes them to settle for a 48-yard Robbie Gould field goal, making it 10-0 Niners.
1st Quarter
In a much-needed momentum swinger, Fred Warner disrupts the Tennessee third down with a tackle for loss, forcing the Titans to punt as the 1st quarter ends. Some big-time defense after Jimmy Garoppolo's interception.
TURNOVER ALERT: Jimmy Garoppolo throws an interception in the redzone directly to Jackrabbit Jenkins, giving Tennessee some much-needed momentum after Garoppolo started the game 8/8 for 103 yards.
SACK ALERT: After Ryan Tannehill gets a first down, he holds onto the ball for too long, leading to a Samson Ebukam sack for a loss of eight yards.
San Francisco disrupts the first play from scrimmage, courtesy of Nick Bosa and Azeez Al-Shaair, forcing a big loss.
The 49ers special team miscues continue, as Tennessee gets a good opening return via Chester Rogers.
TOUCHDOWN ALERT: After a dart to Deebo Samuel to get the ball to the TEN 1, Jeff Wilson Jr. rushes it in for a touchdown, giving SF the lead early 7-0.
San Francisco's combatted the Tennessee defense with a variety of play-actions to start, as they're already inside the TEN 30 on their opening drive.
The 49ers start with the football, and don't fumble on the kickoff! That's a start.
Pregame
Good news for the 49ers came, as linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair will suit up for San Francisco against the Titans, solidifying the linebacker corps alongside Fred Warner. In addition, Jaquiski Tartt will play after being a full participant in practice yesterday and carrying no injury designation.
The 49ers have listed their five inactives for the game: OL Colton McKivitz, RB Elijah Mitchell, LB Dre Greenlaw, S Talanoa Hufanga, and DL Maurice Hurst.
While the Titans will have some offensive line issues, as both Rodger Saffold and Kendall Lamm tested positive for COVID-19, they return their star wide receiver duo in A.J. Brown and Julio Jones, giving them some offensive firepower heading into the match.
The Titans have listed their six inactives for the game: OL Taylor Lewan, CB Chris Jones, LB Derick Roberson, LB David Long, LB Joe Jones, and DL Larrell Murchison.
