Below are the 49ers-Titans in-game injury updates.
WR Deebo Samuel
Samuel stayed down on the field after a 56-yard reception off a Jimmy Garoppolo pass late in the fourth quarter. He was finally tackled by safety Amani Hooker. Samuel was eventually able to walk off the field without assistance.
Update: Samuel returned for the final play of the game. After the game, head coach Kyle Shanahan said the receiver had the wind knocked out of him.
LB Azeez Al-Shaair
The NFL Network broadcast announced in the fourth quarter that Azeez Al-Shaair was being examined for a knee injury. The linebacker had previously exited the game with what was assumed to be related to his earlier elbow injury. However, he returned before exiting again in the fourth quarter.
Update: After the game, Shanahan said the severity of Al-Shaair's injury is unknown. The linebacker will undergo an MRI on Friday.
Other Notes
Defensive tackle D.J. Jones (ankle) was sidelined in the second quarter. He returned in the third quarter.
