The San Francisco 49ers could finish the 2021 season with 10 wins and end up being No. 3 in the division standings. That second part is a certainty with the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals fighting for the NFC West title.

The Niners remain in the playoff hunt and will need to beat the Rams on Sunday to clinch a playoff berth. A loss could mean they watch the postseason from home.

Finishing third in the division this season means some good news for next season. San Francisco might benefit from an easier schedule in 2022. The 49ers will face the third-place teams in the NFC East, NFC North, and AFC East. The team is also slated to play the entire NFC West and AFC West.

Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle provided the following list of the 49ers' 2022 opponents.
