According to Next Gen Stats, The 49ers had the lowest minimum win probability of any team to eventually win a game in the NGS era, including the famous Miami Miracle and Super Bowl LI.

After the 49ers punted on 4th & 16 with 1:57 remaining, they had just a 0.4% chance to win the game, being down 24-17. To come back, they had to complete multiple tasks, and accomplished them all.

To cap it all off, the 49ers' season was on the line, as Sunday's win clinched a playoff spot as the 6th seed in the NFC, where a loss would've left them on the outside looking in, given that the New Orleans Saints won their matchup against the Atlanta Falcons 30-20.

In their comeback, San Francisco was able to prevent a Rams first down, forcing a punt, before Jimmy Garoppolo and Co. marched down the field with a number of long completions, and ending in a Jauan Jennings touchdown.

A sack of Matthew Stafford at the end of regulation forced overtime, where the 49ers received the ball, drove down the field and kicked a field goal to take the lead before rookie cornerback Ambry Thomas intercepted Stafford to seal the victory for San Francisco.

What an exhilarating, game-of-the-year, type of matchup.
