The New York Giants must have been impressed with San Francisco 49ers assistant general manager Adam Peters, who is considered one of the brightest executive minds in the NFL and a favorite to become an NFL general manager soon. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, on Thursday, the Giants will conduct a second interview with Peters for their vacant general manager job following the retirement of Dave Gettleman.

Peters' first interview with the Giants took place on Monday.

Pelissero adds that Peters is among three finalists for the job opening. The other two are Buffalo Bills assistant general manager Joe Schoen and Kansas City Chiefs executive director of player personnel Ryan Poles.

Peters was among general manager John Lynch's first hirings upon Lynch joining the 49ers in 2017. He started as the VP of player personnel and was promoted to assistant general manager on February 19, 2021. Before that, he spent eight years with the Denver Broncos.
