The San Francisco 49ers announced that the team has activated wide receiver Mohamed Sanu Sr. from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's NFC Championship Game matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. The 49ers opened a roster spot on Tuesday by waiving safety Jarrod Wilson.

Sanu landed on injured reserve on November 15, 2021, due to a knee injury. He caught 15 passes for 177 yards through eight games before being placed on injured reserve.

The Cincinnati Bengals made Sanu a third-round draft pick out of Rutgers in 2012. This season is his second stint with the 49ers.
