The San Francisco 49ers already lost one assistant offensive line coach, Butch Barry, who is leaving to become the Denver Broncos offensive line coach. Unfortunately, it looks like the Niners are about to lose another. On Friday morning, radio host Matt Jones reported that Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops was targeting 49ers assistant offensive line coach Zach Yenser for the team's offensive line coach job.

Later, FOX Sports reporter Bruce Feldman reported that Stoops is expected to hire Yenser.

Yenser has been part of head coach Kyle Shanahan's staff for the past three seasons. With his help, the 49ers' offensive line paved the way for the NFL's No. 7 ranked rushing attack with 2,166 total rushing yards.

Before his time in Santa Clara, Yenser worked as an offensive quality control coach at Southern Methodist University (2018), three seasons (2015-17) as the run-game coordinator and offensive line coach at Kansas, and various roles at the University of California (2013-14) and Louisiana Tech (2010-12).
