According to Josina Anderson, the San Francisco 49ers are among the teams expressing "preliminary interest" in Green Bay Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday.

The other teams showing interest are the Las Vegas Raiders, Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts, and Houston Texans, per Anderson.

The Packers made Valdes-Scantling (6-4, 206) a fifth-round selection out of South Florida in 2018. Last season, he registered 26 receptions for 430 yards and three touchdowns through 11 game appearances, including seven starts.

Valdes-Scantling, 27, has caught 123 passes for 2,153 yards with 13 touchdowns in 59 game appearances (39 starts) through his four NFL seasons.
