The San Francisco 49ers hosted two veteran wide receivers on Tuesday, per the NFL transaction wire. They are free agents Marcus Johnson and Malik Turner (h/t Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network)

The Philadelphia Eagles signed Johnson as an undrafted free agent out of Texas in 2016. He registered nine receptions for 160 yards through seven game appearances (three starts) with the Tennessee Titans last season, per Pro Football Reference.

Johnson, 27, has caught 51 passes for 839 yards and three touchdowns in 41 game appearances (12 starts) through his five NFL seasons with the Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, and Titans.

The Seattle Seahawks signed Turner as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois in 2018. He registered 12 receptions for 149 yards and three touchdowns through 14 game appearances with the Dallas Cowboys last season, per Pro Football Reference.

Turner, 26, has caught 29 passes for 414 yards and four touchdowns in 41 game appearances (three starts) through his four NFL seasons with the Seahawks and Cowboys.

We'll see if anything comes of these visits and if the 49ers sign either player to compete for roster spots this offseason. San Francisco's offseason program is scheduled to begin on April 19.
