According to Tony Pauline of Pro Football Network, the San Francisco 49ers have hosted Fayetteville State cornerback Joshua Williams on a pre-draft visit.

"Joshua Williams of Fayetteville State made a big impression at the Senior Bowl with his terrific size," wrote Pauline. "The cornerback measured 6'2 7/8″ and 195 pounds. He flashed all week in Mobile and then went on to have a solid Combine workout with marks that included 4.53 seconds in the 40 and a vertical jump of 36 inches."

At the NFL Scouting Combine, Williams also had a broad jump of 124 inches. His other measurables include an arm length of 32 7/8 inches and hands measuring 9 1/2 inches.

Pauline adds that Williams has received third-round grades from teams during recent draft meetings. The cornerback also visited with the Kansas City Chiefs while the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens have expressed interest in him.

According to the Fayetteville State University Athletics website, Williams recorded 31 tackles, three interceptions, and six passes defensed through nine games in 2021.
