All eyes were on second-year quarterback Trey Lance, who finished the night 4-of-5 for 92 yards, a touchdown, and a perfect passer rating of 158.3. Rookie quarterback Brock Purdy, who went 3-of-6 for 36 yards and a touchdown, actually finished with a slightly higher grade than the projected starter.

Danny Gray, who hauled in Lance's 76-yard touchdown pass, was the highest-graded wide receiver. He finished the night with two receptions on four targets for 99 receiving yards and the score.

Rookie cornerback Samuel Womack earned the team's highest grade, partly thanks to his team-leading two interceptions. He was also credited with two passes defensed.

Tight end Tanner Hudson finished the game with two receptions for 27 yards and the touchdown from Purdy. He earned the highest grade on offense.
