A total of $760,000 was raised at the event—the largest amount in the event's five-year history, eclipsing last year's mark of $650,000, which followed the 2020 COVID season.
The funds will go towards the Foundation's mission to educate and empower Bay Area youth through collective and innovative community-focused strategies. All 49ers Foundation programs and beneficiaries will be helped by the generosity of the Faithful and team partners, including the Foundation's two direct-funded programs: 49ers EDU presented by Chevron and 49ers PREP presented by U.S. Bank.
49ers defensive tackle Arik Armstead gave the keynote address at the event after former running back Raheem Mostert gave last year's speech with his wife Devon.
"Players for a Purpose" is the only yearly event where the entire team comes out on the field to interact with the fans, according to the Foundation's executive director Justin Prettyman, and the night was one to remember for several of the Faithful.
Here's a look at each 49ers' position group coming out with several members of 49ers' Foundation initiatives:
Quarterbacks and Wide Receivers
Running Backs and Tight Ends
Offensive Line
Defensive Line and Linebackers
Cornerbacks and Safeties
