Defensive back Tarvarius Moore suffered his hamstring injury during Week 3 against the Denver Broncos.
On Saturday, the 49ers activated safety Jimmie Ward from the injured reserve list, making him available to suit up against the Panthers. He is active. The team also placed offensive lineman Colton McKivitz (knee) on injured reserve while promoting defensive tackle Akeem Spence and elevating wide receiver Malik Turner and running back Tevin Coleman from the practice squad.
