Pitts is dealing with a hamstring injury that forced him to miss last weekend's contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Atlanta lost 21-15. According to Jordan Schultz of The Score, the Falcons expect Pitts to play against the 49ers, saying the tight end is "on track for tomorrow after a good week of rehab/treatment."
The Falcons made Pitts the No. 4 overall pick in last year's draft. He has 10 catches for 150 yards this season.
Falcons linebacker Mykal Walker (groin) was ruled out for Sunday, while linebacker Adetokunbo Ogundeji (shoulder) and guard Elijah Wilkinson (knee) joined Pitts as the Atlanta players listed as "questionable."
San Francisco has ruled out defensive linemen Arik Armstead (foot, ankle) and Javon Kinlaw (knee), cornerback Emmanuel Moseley (knee), safety Jimmie Ward (hand), and tackle Trent Williams (ankle). In addition, guard Aaron Banks (knee), defensive end Nick Bosa (groin), and tight end Tyler Kroft (knee) are "questionable."
