Jimmy Garoppolo did not practice, obviously. The quarterback suffered a broken foot on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. The 49ers expect his recovery to be about seven to eight weeks.
Tarvarius Moore did not practice after sustaining a knee sprain on Sunday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said the defensive back is expected to miss "a few weeks." Defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway will miss much more than that—about six to eight weeks—with a pectoral strain.
On Monday, Shanahan said defensive end Nick Bosa, the NFL's current sack leader and NFL Defensive Player of the Year candidate, emerged from Sunday's three-sack performance with some hamstring irritation. He also did not practice.
Three 49ers stars—wide receiver Deebo Samuel, defensive lineman Arik Armstead, and running back Christian McCaffrey—were limited. Samuel entered Week 13 listed as "questionable" to face the Dolphins but ended up playing.
Sunday was Armstead's first game back since Week 4. He had been sidelined with foot and ankle injuries.
"He got through the game well," Shanahan said. "We've got to be smart with him, so it doesn't act up like it did earlier in the year, but he had a successful game."
Below are Wednesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Buccaneers, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
