The NFL announced that 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey is a nominee for this week's FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week award for his incredible efficiency in San Francisco's dominant victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, totaling 119 rushing yards on 14 carries (8.5 average) and one rushing touchdown. McCaffrey is showing exactly why the 49ers gave up serious draft capital to add him mid-season.

Additional Ground Nominees
