Brock Purdy has earned his second NFL award. The San Francisco 49ers rookie quarterback has once again been named the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week. Purdy earned the award for his performance during the team's 38-13 Week 18 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

Purdy completed 15 of 20 pass attempts for 178 yards and three touchdowns in his fifth career NFL start, helping the 49ers win their 10th consecutive game and finish the 2022 season with a 13-4 record.

The other award nominees were Atlanta Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder, Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier, Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker, Houston Texans linebacker Christian Harris, and Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.

Purdy played college football at Iowa State, and the 49ers made him the last pick (No. 262 overall) in this year's draft. He has completed 67.1 percent of his passes for 1,374 yards, 13 touchdowns, four interceptions, and a passer rating of 107.3 this season.

Purdy's previous Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week honor came after his Week 16 performance against the Washington Commanders.

The 49ers are preparing to host the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday as part of the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
