The San Francisco 49ers return to the NFC Divisional Round for the third time in four seasons as they host the Dallas Cowboys at Levi's Stadium. This game marks the ninth playoff matchup all-time between the two teams, with San Francisco winning each of the previous two postseason meetings.

The 49ers enter the Divisional Round coming off a 41-23 victory against the Seattle Seahawks. The offense was led by the triple threat of RB Christian McCaffrey, QB Brock Purdy, and WR Deebo Samuel. McCaffrey registered 119 rushing yards on 15 carries and saw one of his two receptions go for a touchdown. Purdy completed 18 of his 30 passing attempts for 332 yards and three touchdowns while also running in a one-yard touchdown. Samuel hauled in six passes for 133 yards, including a 74-yard touchdown reception. RB Elijah Mitchell caught two passes for 25 yards and caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from Purdy.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Niners forced two takeaways on the night. DL Charles Omenihu registered two sacks, including a strip-sack on Seahawks QB Geno Smith, which DL Nick Bosa recovered. DL Arik Armstead also got to Smith in the backfield, earning his first sack of the postseason. DB Deommodore Lenoir registered his first postseason interception, and LB Dre Greenlaw led the team in tackles with 11.
