The NFL has fined two San Francisco 49ers players—tackle Trent Williams and linebacker Dre Greenlaw—for unnecessary roughness in last weekend's NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Greenlaw was fined $10,430. Williams was hit with a $12,731 fine for the actions that led to his ejection late in the game.

Update: Pro Football Talk reports that 49ers safety Talanoa Hufanga was fined $4,916 for hitting Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts out of bounds late in the third quarter.

When asked about his actions that led to the ejection, Williams explained that he was initially trying to break things up between the two teams when his frustrations got the better of him.

"I really kinda just got frustrated in the time," Williams said Saturday during Pro Bowl events in Las Vegas. "We're playing without a quarterback [which] is already frustrating and losing one of the biggest games of your life.

"I think I just let my temper boil over a little too much. Like I said, my intentions was to break it up, I didn't go over there looking for a fight."
