According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Houston Texans are expected to sign San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway, an unrestricted free agent, to a one-year deal worth $4 million and including $3 million guaranteed. He will reunite with Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans, the former 49ers defensive coordinator.

The Indianapolis Colts made Ridgeway (6-3, 305) a fourth-round selection (No. 116 overall) out of Texas in 2016. He registered 28 tackles, three tackles for a loss, and four quarterback hits through 12 game appearances (seven starts) with the 49ers last season, per Pro Football Reference.

Ridgeway, 28, has recorded 103 tackles, 10.5 sacks, a safety, and a pass defensed in 77 game appearances (19 starts) through his seven NFL seasons with the Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, and 49ers.
