The San Francisco 49ers are just days away from the beginning of training camp, where players will step on the field together for the first time since early June.

However, not all is settled for the team yet, as defensive end Nick Bosa is still awaiting a long-term contract extension, which may alter when he is a full participant in practice when training camp begins on July 25th.

Still, it's expected that a deal will get done sooner than later, which is in the 49ers' best interests, as they can debut the look of Bosa, Arik Armstead, and free-agent signing Javon Hargrave on the defensive line upon the defensive end's return to team activities.

But, Bosa's contract extension isn't the only reason he's recently made the news. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year was recently dubbed a 98 overall in EA Sports' Madden 24.

At a 98 overall, Bosa ranked as the second-highest player along the defensive line, tying Myles Garrett, but coming behind Aaron Donald, who received a 99 overall.

Bosa joined fellow teammate Trent Williams as the highest-rated players on the team, with both stars earning a 98 overall.

At defensive end, Bosa was followed by free-agent signing Clelin Ferrell, who earned a 74 overall, and second-year player Drake Jackson and veteran Kerry Hyder, who both received a 72 overall.

Should Bosa have received a 99 overall?
