Those wondering how Brock Purdy would look once he returned to the practice field got their answer today. The San Francisco 49ers quarterback suited up for the first time since January, joining his teammates for the second practice of training camp.

Understandably, there was some rust. Purdy's second pass attempt was intercepted by safety Tashaun Gipson. However, most eyes were on what the quarterback could and couldn't do on the field. How did his arm look? Early reports indicate that Purdy seems good, all things considered, and continues to be on track to be the 49ers' Week 1 starter.

"But Purdy showed no ill-effects from his elbow injury/surgery," wrote Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, pointing out that Purdy was unleashing 45-yard spirals downfield.

Purdy won't practice every day. The 49ers plan to give the quarterback rest days as they ramp up his workload. But seeing the second-year quarterback on the field made for an exciting day, as social media buzzed during the Thursday-morning practice session.
