NFL Network continues to reveal its ranking of the top 100 NFL players of 2023. Being named to the NFL Top 100 is considered an honor because players around the league vote on it. It is based on player performance during the previous year and predicted performance during the upcoming season.

This year's ranking is the league's 13th.

Coming off a breakout 2021 campaign, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel came in at No. 19 last year after racking up 1,770 all-purpose yards and 14 total touchdowns. The receiver had less than half that production last season. Samuel registered 864 all-purpose yards and only five total touchdowns through the 2022 season.

"Oh, it was awful," Samuel said in June after being asked to critique his performance last season. "Every aspect. … I'll never put nothing like that back on tape again."

Samuel's less-than-impressive 2022 production diminished his value in the eyes of his peers, dropping the receiver to No. 61 within the NFL Top 100 of 2023.

Samuel is the third 49ers player revealed in this year's ranking. Safety Talanoa Hufanga came in at No. 78, and linebacker Dre Greenlaw at No. 79.

NFL Network will continue to reveal its top 100 players through Monday, August 7.
