San Francisco 49ers cornerback Ambry Thomas entered the medical tent late in the fourth quarter of the team's dominant 30-7 Week 1 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Head coach Kyle Shanahan provided injury updates after the game.

Thomas ended up being fine. The cornerback was examined for a potential concussion but cleared to return. The game was over by then, though, so there was no need.

That means the 1-0 49ers exited their season opener relatively injury-free, and are healthy heading into their second consecutive road game, a September 17 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium. I write "relatively" because sometimes other injuries reveal themselves the next day.

Shanahan will provide another injury update to reporters on Monday.
