The Dallas defense had allowed only 41 total points to its previous four opponents. The 49ers alone scored 42 points in the Week 5 bout. How much better can it get for this undefeated San Francisco squad?
"I honestly don't think that we've hit our peak," Warner shared ahead of Wednesday's practice.
San Francisco is gearing up for a Week 6 road game against the Cleveland Browns. The 49ers are currently seven-point favorites, a climb from the 4.5-point favorites they were earlier in the week.
"I think that we just continue to keep our head down and grind and stay humble," Warner continued. "Like, if you saw the way that we graded this tape this morning, you would see that we're taking this really serious.
"It's not we just scrapped this past game just because we beat them by 32 points. We're trying to find ways to get better in the little things that you do see out there."
Defensive end Nick Bosa admits that the offense's steady dose of production has made things notably easier for last year's top-ranked defense.
"This is the most confidence I've had in our offense," Bosa said. "Not that I haven't had confidence, but obviously, when you put up 40 points, it makes things for us a lot easier. Teams are in passing situations more.
"We're getting taken out of the game a little early, but it's all good for winning."
