It also looked like guard Aaron Banks (ankle) and linebacker Dre Greenlaw (hamstring) are participating. Both were suited up for the Friday session.
Update: Samuel did make an appearance as the media window closed. However, it appeared that the wide receiver would just do conditioning work.
San Francisco will issue a practice participation report after the on-field work.
Injuries forced McCaffrey and Samuel to exit Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. Samuel suffered a shoulder injury in the opening quarter, while McCaffrey endured an oblique injury in the third. Williams played through the pain of an ankle injury he sustained in the first quarter.
"It didn't feel good at all," Williams said after the game. "It's football, and I just tried to fight through it for my teammates."

"So a lot to factor in, and we'll just kind of let that continue to play out. But I know they're all doing their best to get back out there for their team."
