The San Francisco 49ers are gearing up to face the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend, aiming to reverse their fortunes after three consecutive losses. With both teams well-rested coming off their bye weeks, the players are eager to return to the football field.

Linebackers Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw are determined to demonstrate that the 49ers are capable of much more than their recent performances suggest.

The 49ers never look ahead of their upcoming opponent, so seeing that the Jaguars own a 6-2 record heading into this Week 10 matchup surprised Warner. During this week's episode of "The Warner House" podcast, the All-Pro linebacker asked his teammate about his first impressions of the Jaguars and what the 49ers need to do to get back on track.

Greenlaw praised the talents of quarterback Trevor Lawrence, acknowledging his strong arm. He also highlighted the skills of key players like Jaguars running back Travis Etienne, tight end Evan Engram, and wide receivers Christian Kirk and Calvin Ridley.


"With everything and how it's been going, I'm excited just to go out and play this game," Greenlaw told Warner. "I feel like it's nothing to lose. At this point, I'm [going to] play as hard as I can, and I know that's going to get done. I got to execute. And I think if we all just go out there and play our solid ball that we know we could play, and pay attention to the details, just take it one day at a time, trust in the process in which we got in place, and I think we're going to be just fine.

"I don't have no panic about what we are as a team. We've been in way worse. But the thing is, we know what we can do, and we know what we have to do. So, like I said, this is the part about ball that I love. Where s--t ain't going right, you feel sad, everybody's feeling sad, and it's like, how do you get out of it? You just got to want better for yourself."

Warner echoes Greenlaw's confidence in the team's ability to overcome recent challenges. While the 49ers currently hold a 5-3 record for the season, their focus is solely on the games ahead and not what has led them to this point.

"You talk about these next nine games that we got left, people ain't seen nothing yet compared to what we about to do," Warner declared. "Our mind is exactly in the right place. ... We're not pointing fingers. We're not looking around thinking, all right, who's going to solve the issue for us now? It's us. It's me. And that's got to be the mindset within everybody on the team.

"But I know, for sure, that's our mindset, just playing even harder, making the plays that we need to make, and bringing that funk."


Greenlaw added, "Just be ourselves. We do that and be ourselves, bro, it's going to take care of itself."
