Wide receiver Deebo Samuel was a full participant in practice and seems set to make his return to the field this weekend. He has been out of action since sustaining a hairline fracture in his shoulder on October 15 against the Cleveland Browns.
Tackle Trent Williams is working towards returning to the practice field but could not do so on Wednesday. He has been dealing with an ankle injury.
When asked if there might be more to Williams' injury than a low-ankle sprain, head coach Kyle Shanahan acknowledged, "Yeah, I think obviously there is. I mean, he's got a lot of history in there with stuff. It didn't show up as a high or anything like that, but when you've had that over your career, there's a number of things that, with how it's taken longer than expected to heal, it's more than a low."
Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports that Williams worked on a side field during Wednesday's practice.
As expected, guard Aaron Banks continues to miss practice due to a turf toe injury. He is not expected to play against the Jaguars.
Defensive end Drake Jackson was a limited participant due to a knee issue.
Below are Wednesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Jaguars, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
