Who doesn't relish some mouthwatering Chick-fil-A? Add Kyle Shanahan to the list of fans enjoying those tasty chicken sandwiches. The head coach of the San Francisco 49ers recently shared his fondness for the fast-food franchise during an interview on KNBR.

"One, I don't get it that much," Shanahan said on the "Murph and Mac" show. "When I was in Atlanta, they always had it on our flights on Saturdays, and so I got used to it a couple of years. And I remember, I just blacked out where I was in our first plane [ride] here [with the 49ers]. I'm like, 'Where's the Chick-fil-A?' And no one knew what I was talking about."

The 49ers ensured that Chick-fil-A was readily available for coaches and players moving forward.

"It was awesome they did that, and now I think everyone here is used to getting it because I think we've had it going on seven years in a row now," Shanahan continued. "So that's why my kids want to travel with us. Not because they want to go to the game or anything, because they want Chick-fil-A. But it's a good deal, something we look forward to a little bit."


However, a problem arises when the 49ers have to travel on Sundays. Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays.

"You should see how disappointed some guys get once they're used to it, when we play on Monday night and we fly on Sunday," Shanahan shared. "You sit there, and you think about it because you really don't know what the day is. You just know you're playing the next day, and you get Chick-fil-A. And they don't work on Sundays, so we don't get Chick-fil-A on Sunday flights."

Shanahan added, "It makes us sound bad out of context, but you're such a creature of habit, and you get so used to something, and then all of a sudden, it's not there, and you can't function."
