Inactives:
- QB Brandon Allen
- DT Arik Armstead (foot, knee)
- G Spencer Burford (knee)
- LB Oren Burks (knee)
- TE Ross Dwelley (ankle)
- DT Javon Hargrave (hamstring)
- RB Elijah Mitchell (knee)
On Friday, the 49ers ruled out Armstead, Burks, Dwelley, Hargrave, and Mitchell against the Cardinals. The team listed four players, guard Aaron Banks (hip), Burford, linebacker Dre Greenlaw (hip, ankle), and cornerback Charvarius Ward (groin), as "questionable." Banks, Greenlaw, and Ward are active.
Sunday's game will mark Armstead's second consecutive absence, having been sidelined last week due to his foot and knee injuries. This also marks Mitchell's second consecutive game on the inactive list.
As a result of Armstead and Hargrave being out, the 49ers elevated defensive lineman T.Y. McGill from the practice squad on Saturday. We'll soon learn if San Francisco can overcome the absence of its two starting interior defenders.
Additionally, Mitchell's prompted the team to elevate running back Jeremy McNichols.
