"Definitely encouraged, but it's still a wait-and-see kind of thing," defensive coordinator Steve Wilks said of Hargrave's status. "But I'm definitely encouraged by what I saw today."
During his weekly interview on Bay Area radio station KNBR, head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked about the status of his injured players.
"Not much I can tell you yet," Shanahan told John Dickinson and Kerry Crowley. "They still have question marks, and they're all questionable. They've been limited this week."
Wide receiver Jauan Jennings remains in the concussion protocol. Also absent from Friday's practice session were tight end Ross Dwelley (ankle) and linebacker Oren Burks (knee).
"Armstead's a little bit more of a longshot, but we're going to wait to see," Shanahan said of his veteran defensive tackle. "Hopefully, we can get all three (Hargrave, Mitchell, and Armstead), but we're not going to rule anyone out until, at the earliest, tomorrow."
