San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan labeled Arik Armstead a "longshot" to be ready for Monday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens. The veteran defensive tackle did not practice on Thursday or Friday and was not on the field with his teammates for Saturday's session, the last before the Christmas night showdown at Levi's Stadium.

It appears increasingly likely that Armstead will be ruled out for the Week 16 clash between the AFC and NFC leaders. Also notably absent from Saturday's practice were wide receiver Jauan Jennings (concussion), tight end Ross Dwelley (ankle), and linebacker Oren Burks (knee).

On a positive note, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, who missed last weekend's game with a hamstring injury, was on the practice field for the second consecutive day, making him likely to suit up on Monday night.

The 49ers will release the game statuses for their injured players, along with Saturday's practice participation report, later this afternoon.
