Quick Takeaways
It wasn't a great performance for the 49ers. The team's highest-graded player ended up being rookie wide receiver Ronnie Bell, who only played three total offensive snaps, earning a 78.8 overall grade.
Examining the quarterback situation, Brock Purdy secured a 64.9 overall grade, marking his third-lowest of the season (44.1 in Week 6, 61.1 in Week 3). Despite becoming the first 49ers quarterback to surpass 4,000 passing yards in a single season in over two decades, Purdy threw four costly interceptions. The second-year quarterback completed 18 of 32 passing attempts for 255 yards, recording a career-low passer rating as a starter at 42.6.
Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk led the 49ers receivers with a 75.2 overall grade, tallying six catches for 113 yards. Tight end George Kittle also ranked among the top offensive players, securing seven passes for 126 yards and earning a 73.2 overall grade.
Injured in the game, tackle Trent Williams and guard Aaron Banks obtained pass-blocking grades of 77.4 and 75.2, respectively. Banks' 75.4 overall grade is his second-highest of the season (75.6 in Week 7).
None of the 49ers' defensive players earned a favorable coverage grade. Among the defensive backs, cornerback Ambry Thomas received the highest mark in that category—a 57.9 grade.
Linebacker Fred Warner led the team with a 75.1 pass-rushing grade. The next-highest grade in that category was achieved by defensive end Nick Bosa, who secured a 64.7 pass-rushing grade.
Defensive tackle Kevin Givens' 72.1 overall grade was boosted by his 79.7 run-defense grade.
In his first action since rejoining the 49ers, cornerback Jason Verrett played five defensive snaps, earning a 45.1 overall grade and a 45.5 coverage grade.
