The San Francisco 49ers will shift their focus to the playoffs after losing their regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Rams. Head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke to reporters after the game and provided injury updates on two players—defensive end Clelin Ferrell and safety Tayler Hawkins.

Ferrell suffered a knee injury early and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

"No ACL, no MCL, but we'll figure out exactly what it is tomorrow," Shanahan said of his defensive end.

The coach added that there is a chance Ferrell could miss the 49ers' first playoff game during the weekend of January 20. However, the defensive end is optimistic about his availability in two weeks.

Regarding the safety, Shanahan said, "Tayler Hawkins, there at the end, had a wrist."

The 49ers, the top seed in the NFC, await the weakest-seeded winner of the Wild Card Round. They will host that opponent at Levi's Stadium in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
